Jeans are the Nation’s favourite item of clothing. Nearly everyone has a pair.
Often jeans need a bit of fine tuning to get the perfect length. Alterations can be tricky to do because of the thickness and weight of the denim. At points in the hem there can be up to 9 layers of fabric to sew through and that’s enough to break many sewing machine needles and sometimes the sewing machine.
At Pearce’s Pins we have an industrial machine which can deal with the denim easily. Hilary will do her best to match the colour thread and to give a finish as close to the original style as possible.
For best results, Hilary recommends that you have a fitting wearing the type of shoe/boot that would be worn with the jeans. Otherwise, an inside leg measurement would be adequate.
