Hilary holds City and Guilds Certificates in Fashion, Working Designs, Design for Craft, Tailoring and also in Bone Bodices and Evening Wear. Hilary is a professional seamstress and enjoys design, art, style and colour. She is passionate to see both women and men dress well and look their best.

Alterations and repairs for women and men

Our alteration service includes a range of minor and major repairs, including hems, taking in and letting out ill-fitting garments. We turn collars, replace zips, sew on buttons and badges, alter turn-ups and make tailor alterations.

Dressmaking

Our bespoke dressmaking service creates beautifully fitted garments for special occasions, as well as for everyday use just for you.

Haberdashery Shop

We stock a comprehensive range of haberdashery with traditional and unique items for sale. We have a fabric and pattern buying service with swatches and pattern books available for browsing. We also sell our own design and brand “Buttons and Badges” kits for crafting projects.

Sewing School and Design Consultancy

Dressmaking lessons and sewing school are available upon request. We offer a consultancy service to help our clients look their very best.

Dry Cleaning

We offer an off-site dry cleaning and laundry and shoe repair service. Collections and deliveries twice weekly.
