From the first sketch to the final fitting, Hilary works closely with you on the design, fabric and colour, then measures and fits with genuine care so the finished garment flatters your shape and feels a pleasure to wear. A well-made garment worn again and again makes for wonderful value.

This gem of a shop provides expert service to customers, with a wealth of knowledge from the initial consultation and fitting through to patterns and fabric choice. Pearce's Pins understands that there is a certain degree of cachet involved in creating one-off designs, and will respect this during construction. We have contacts and accounts with suppliers, so we can access a wide range of fabrics — including specialist dress fabrics such as silk and tartan — along with haberdashery and patterns. Every piece is made from scratch and finished to a professional standard.

Hilary holds City & Guilds Certificates in Fashion, Working Designs, Design for Craft, Tailoring and in Boned Bodices and Evening Wear. A professional seamstress based in Ixworth, near Bury St Edmunds, she loves design, art, style and colour, and is passionate about helping women and men dress well and feel their best.
